Our Services

  • AC/Climate Control System Service

No one wants to drive a car that is freezing in the winter or a furnace in the summer!

If your car's heating/cooling system isn't performing properly, the tech team at  All American Automotive will diagnose the problem and explain the repair process to you in as much detail as you like. We welcome your questions and concerns, and we promise to always give a straight answer. We're here to be your go-to automotive service for the long term. We focus on relationships--not on one time, expensive repair tickets.

Once the issue has been discovered, there are numerous things we can do to get your climate control system working again. Some repairs can be done in minutes, while others require more time to get the job done right, but we will always give you an estimated repair time along with the diagnosis.

To avoid that 'too cold/too hot' situation, we recommend having your climate control system inspected twice a year. The optimal times are just before summer and just before winter, since these are the times you’ll be using your heating and cooling system the most. We are happy to do these inspections individually or along with regular maintenance service. Just let us know what works for you!

If your heater or air conditioner is having some obvious problems, or just doesn’t seem to be working as well as it used to, let the experts at All American Automotive take a look at it today.

Our auto technicians at All American Automotive are the trusted source for auto climate control service and repair in the Wichita area. Our auto repair shop, founded on a firm foundation of teamwork and integrity, is the leading choice for service and repair in Wichita and surrounding areas. We are honored to know that many of our clients drive past several facilities just to reach ours.

Don't let an issue with your air conditioning or heat ruin your day or your trip. Call today or request an appointment online.

All American Automotive is located at Kellogg and Tyler roads--just 7 minutes from downtown Wichita --at 8630 W. Kellogg Dr. Wichita, KS 67209.

  • Air Filtration

All auto filters are designed to prevent harmful debris from entering any parts where air and fluid flows, including your engine, radiator, fuel lines and more. If a filter is no longer performing its intended function, decreased performance—even engine damage—can result.

Your car's air filter prevents harmful debris, dirt and contaminants from entering your engine. The cabin air filter (present in most 2002 or newer model vehicles) prevents dust, pollen, dirt and other pollutants from entering your car through your A/C and heat vents.  Whether you are in for preventive maintenance or due to performance issues, the techs at All American Automotive will check your air filtration filters and let you know their condition (we'll even show you, if you like) and let you know if they are in good condition or if a filter has  or is reaching the end of it's usefulness and needs replacement in the near future, or right away.

At All American Automotive, we've had generations of customers remain loyal to us because we continue to prove time and time again that our dedication to stellar auto repair and warm customer service is unrivaled. Come visit us today for the finest air filtration service in the region.

  • Alignment

Wichita area auto owners are choosing All American Automotive as their go-to auto repair center when they need wheel alignment. Our first-rate auto repair and customer service make us a true dealership alternative.

The correct wheel alignment is fundamental to ensure your car is driving the way it is supposed to. Safety is the most important thing when operating a vehicle and starts with proper vehicle maintenance. Let our experienced technicians get you back on the road in a vehicle that is safe! Wheel alignment is done with the help of a computer which is mathematically calculated to straighten and align the direction in which your front and rear wheelbase travel.

Without the proper alignment of your wheels, your tires will wear unevenly. The treading on your tires determines how your vehicle grips the roadway. Tread should wear out equally on all sides of each tire. Without the proper wheel alignment, your tires could end up bald on one side. Sometimes this can happen without you even noticing, especially if the wear is on the inside edge of the tire. Thinning and slick spots on the tire can be hazardous for driving.

A car that is out of alignment will often steer slightly to one side or another when the car is supposed to be going straight. Obviously, your car should be traveling straight when the steering wheel is in the position for straight-forward movement. Without the proper alignment, you will be in a constant battle with the steering wheel. This is especially dangerous at higher rates of speed.

You can ensure your vehicle is safe to drive by having your tires and alignment thoroughly checked at All American Automotive. We are easy to find at 8630 W. Kellogg Dr. Wichita, KS 67209.

  • Brakes

Clearly the condition of your braking system is critical. At All American Automotive, we recommend that you check your car owner's manual for suggested maintenance schedule and, at the very least, have them inspected each year.

Brakes tend to give warning signs when they need a mechanic's attention: your brake pedal may feel like it's sinking lower or feel "spongy"; you may feel a pulse when you press on the pedal, or you may feel shaking when when you brake. Additionally, while some brake noises are normal or caused by weather conditions, loud squeals or grinding sounds almost always mean that it's time for new brake pads or shoes.

All American Automotive's Brake Systems Repair Services include:

    • Pad Replacement
    • Lining Replacement
    • Hose Replacement
    • Wheel Cylinders
    • Master Cylinders
    • Emergency Brakes
    • Brake Drums
    • Brake Rotors
    • Machining
    • Anti-lock Systems
    • Brake Fluid check and flush and refills

We hope you choose All American Automotive as your leading car service center for brake services and other auto repair and maintenance needs.

  • Check Engine Light

If your check engine light illuminates, it will either blink or remain constantly illuminated, depending on the problem. A blinking light, or in some cars, a red light instead of a yellow or orange light, indicates a problem that needs immediate attention.

If your check engine light is on, the first thing we recommend is to check your dashboard gauges and lights for indications of low oil pressure or overheating. These conditions mean you should pull over and shut off the engine as soon as you can find a safe place to do so.

While it may sound bizarre, the next thing we recommend that you do is to check your fuel cap. A good percentage of the time a loose fuel cap is the cause for the check engine light to come on. Keep in mind that it may take a couple of trips for your check engine light to go off, even if the fuel cap was the culprit.

If it doesn't go off after a couple of short trips, or if you notice anything that doesn't 'feel right" then you need to point your car in the direction of Kellogg and Tyler and get to All American Automotive. One of our technicians will do a thorough inspection and computer analysis of your vehicle.

All American Automotive offers expert auto service and repair and our dedication to taking care of you and your family is unparalleled in the Wichita area community. For check engine light service, call today or request an appointment online

We are conveniently located at 8630 W. Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67209.

  • Computer Diagnostics

Cars sold in the US since 1996 feature a built in computer that can be accessed to help diagnose engine problems. Your vehicle's electronic control system monitors the operation of the engine's components and stores Diagnostic Trouble Codes if it receives a signal that is outside normal limits, or if an expected change in a signal doesn't take place. Computer diagnostic tools provide access to these codes. However, the codes are to a trained auto tech like symptoms are to a physician. They help us see what the computer has pinpointed as abnormal, but the ability to determine what additional tests are needed and to interpret both the results of those tests, as well as the computer data, requires a technician with extensive training and experience. The technician team at All American Automotive will combine test results with expert knowledge to accurately identify and recommend repairs to get you back on the road as quickly, safely, and with as little expense as possible.

For computer diagnostics and repairs, call us or request an appointment online. All American Automotive is located at 8630 W. Kellogg Dr. Wichita, KS 67209. • Drivetrain, Suspension & Steering

Your shocks, springs, struts, steering, and tires are all part of your suspension system. They all work together to keep you comfortable and in control on the road.

When it comes to suspensions and drivetrains, a problem in one area can be a symptom of a problem in another area. If your tires are wearing unevenly, it may just be your tire pressure. Heavier wear in the middle means the pressure is too high. Heavy wear on the edges means the pressure is too low. But if you notice excessive wear on just one edge, it’s usually a sign that you have an alignment/suspension problem that a mechanic should handle.

For that and other symptoms — like steering vibrations or pulling — you should have your steering and suspension systems inspected. The inspection should include: checking the power steering fluid, listening for unusual noises while the vehicle is in motion, and a visual inspection of all major suspension and drivetrain components including the shocks, struts and springs.

All American Automotive provides the following steering, suspension and drivetrain repairs:

    • Alignment
    • Automatic Transmission Service
    • CV Boots & Joints
    • Differential Repair
    • Drive Axles
    • Level Ride Systems
    • Steering Leak Repairs
    • Power Steering Pump Replacement
    • Power Steering Service
    • Rack & Pinion Steering
    • Shocks/Struts
    • U-Joints
    • Wheel Balancing

We sincerely care about the safety and well being of you, your passengers and your vehicle. Many problems, including those involving your drivetrain, suspension and steering, could be prevented by a comprehensive examination performed by our team of professional technicians. If you have any indications of drivetrain or steering problems--or if you would like to schedule a courtesy inspection, give us a call today or request an appointment online.

All American Automotive is easy to find--just 7 minutes west of downtown Wichita at Kellogg and Tyler. We offer expert auto service and repair and our dedication to taking care of you and your family is unparalleled. Let us prove it to you!

  • Electrical System

There aren't many things more frustrating than turning the key and finding that your car's battery is dead or the starter just...won't! You may be to jump start the battery, but keep in mind that a jump start won’t always solve the problem. Unless you've simply left your lights on and let the battery drain, the problem might not be from the battery itself. It may also be something other than the engine or starter. It’s possible for an unrelated component in the electrical system to drain your battery and keep the starter from cranking the engine when you turn the key.

Your vehicle’s electrical system is an integral component of your vehicle, and it is as complex as it is important. You’ll have peace of mind knowing our mechanics are on your side and ready to quickly, efficiently and effectively respond to the needs of your vehicle’s electrical system. Since 1972, we have serviced electrical systems on virtually all makes and models of cars. If there is an issue with yours, you can count on our team to identify the root of the issue, while keeping you informed each step of the way.

If you've experienced a dead battery,  dimmed lights on the dash or dashboard, grinding or clicks when you turn the key, give All American Automotive a call today, or request an appointment online, and let us make sure that you or a family member doesn't end up stranded! We'll check over your vehicle and give you a complete run down of your vehicle's condition and potential needs.

We are proud of the stellar reputation our auto mechanics have earned among Wichita area drivers, and committed to providing you with top-level customer service. Give us a call today or request an appointment online and find out why our clients are our best form of advertising!

  • Engine Services

If you see smoke, hear noises , lose power or your check engine light is on--don't ignore the signs!

At our shop, we sincerely care about you and your family, and we strive to ensure your experience is completely positive. We believe that honesty is the best policy and we are upfront about the condition of your vehicle. Whether your check engine light is on or your car is blowing massive plumes of smoke, give us a call today or request an appointment online. We'll start with a thorough systems check, let you know what we find, and come up with a game plan to get you back on the road.

  • Exhaust System

Your exhaust system has four main functions: to control noise, direct harmful fumes away from the passengers, improve engine performance, and enhance fuel consumption. To ensure your exhaust system is doing its job, it’s important to let our auto mechanics do theirs by performing a comprehensive examination of this vital system. During this process, you'll be kept in the loop, so to speak.  At All American Automotive, we aren’t here to sell you on an unnecessary service for your exhaust system. Instead, we are here to analyze, educate and inform. We will categorize all exhaust system repairs into three sections: safety, maintenance, and comfort. Then, we will decide on a course of action suitable to your budget and lifestyle.

All American Automotive provides complete fuel system treatment, maintenance, and repairs to keep your vehicle operating at its peak performance level. That means you get the most return for your investment in your vehicle.

Your automobile's fuel system is designed to provide a lot of power with the least amount of fuel. We can plan a schedule that best meets your specific needs.

Fuel system maintenance includes fuel filter replacement (as needed) as well as a thorough inspection to ensure that every aspect of your fuel system is up to specifications and your fuel injectors are clean and clear.

Give All American Automotive a call today, or request an appointment online, to schedule routine maintenance or an analysis of your vehicle's fuel system performance.

  • Oil & Filter Change

Regular oil changes keeps fresh motor oil lubricating every moving part of your engine. If motor oil is not changed, gooey sludge will form in your engine, accelerating wear on all components in your engine. This will shorten the engine’s life--resulting in down time for your vehicle and costly repairs.

When you have your oil and filter service completed at All American Automotive,  we complete more than 50 additional checks and services on your vehicle including inspections and fills of:

    • Transmission fluid
    • Antifreeze/coolant
    • Differential fluid
    • Windshield solvent
    • Power steering fluid
    • Brake fluid
    • Battery water
    • Tires
    • Transfer case (4WD)
    • Front differential (4WD)

We also check your air filters, inpect your PCV valve, review your computerized vehicle history and reset your computerized service reminder.

All fluids used at All American Automotive meet or exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and are always disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

Call today or request an appointment online for  your oil and filter change with All American Automotive and find out why we've earned generations of customers since 1972.

  • Scheduled Maintenance/Tune Ups

Advances in automobile technology have almost eliminated the term "Tune Up". To put it simply, many parts that used to need regular replacement such as spark plugs, are made with components that last much longer and don't need to be adjusted and/or replaced regularly. Rather than a tune up, you should follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule--by that we mean that at the very least, you should have your vehicle thoroughly inspected at each of the scheduled maintenance mileage points.

Following the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule is important for a few reasons. In the first few years of your vehicle's life, your warranty will depend on you following the service schedule. Beyond the warranty, bad things can happen if you ignore your vehicle's maintenance schedule—for example,  vehicle manufacturers recommend that the original timing belt in most vehicles be replaced between 60,000 and 100,000 miles, if not and the belt breaks, you will, at best, have a car that will no longer run until it is replaced. At worst, you can end up with a completely ruined engine.

The fact is that preventative maintenance will always cost you less than repairs.

The team at All American Automotive will check the service needs for your vehicle each time you come in. After a thorough inspection, we will provide you with a prioritized list of recommended maintenance services based on the actual condition of your vehicle and detail which, if any, need to be addressed immediately.

Our technicians are always on the lookout for impending problems  that can be addressed before they become real and costly problems.

Need to schedule a maintenance check? Give us a call today or request an appointment online. All American Automotive firmly believes that the best way to protect you and your passengers and reduce your cost of vehicle ownership is to provide you with honest and detailed information.
